Jon S. Haupers

NeuroBalance FOUNDER, CLP

With an extraordinary history of passion and caring for his fellow human beings, Jon S. Haupers brings a refreshing level of gentle, compassionate care to individuals seeking to bring a calming light, happiness and an overall sense of hope and well being to their lives.

In 2012, he opened his practice NeuroBalance, specializing in the brainwave science of LENS neurofeedback therapy. The following year he began working with Howard K. Elkin MD, FACC at Heartwise Fitness & Longevity Center,  treating many of his patients for anxiety, migraines, ADHD, depression, panic attacks, post traumatic stress,  traumatic brain injury and stroke recovery.

Today, NeuroBalance is acknowledged as being one of the few in the forefront of this vital new neurofeedback therapy in Los Angeles. Offering personalized programs and package plans to anyone seeking help from problems that can’t or won’t be helped by drugs. Jon’s practice includes working with doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, physical therapists, occupational and marriage and family therapists in helping them achieve better results with their clientele. In fact, some of his patients are doctors and therapists themselves. NeuroBalance has been helping to “heal the healers” in Los Angeles since its doors opened. Once they experience how it helps them. They often recommend it to their patients.

“I am passionate about my goal of bringing a sense of hope from this technology and dedicated to working closely with each patient in achieving their most optimal degree of health. Being within a network of the best LENS neurofeedback practitioners, doctors, therapists and other technicians throughout the world whom share experiences in treatment applications can ensure the best care for my patients.”

Philosophy of Treatment

“I make a point to listen closely to what a client is telling me and what is effecting their life. Listening gives me accurate background information for my notes to ensure a successful outcome. I ask the right questions—every new patient who may come in with a similar issue is still different from one another. Though they may share the same history of symptoms. Their level of sensitivity, constitution and degree of reactivity is uniquely their own. So paying close attention from our very first session is a good habit I developed early on. Then matching a treatment plan to each client is critical for optimal gains. Connecting the dots to help clients see their improvements especially early on can sometimes be tricky. Clarifying the data and comparing it with reduction of symptoms makes for faster progress. Being passionate and believing in the process is why I see my patients through to the end of their journeys towards happiness. If we can go from a handshake and arrive at a hug after all treatments are finished. Then, I have done my job.”

Background

Born in Chicago, Jon began his journey towards contemporary, alternative and holistic healthcare in the late 1980’s as one of Chicago’s most respected certified personal trainers. He was consumed with proactive health practices, gym training and mind/body connection modalities. His areas of interest grew to include the works of Michael A. Weiner, Ph.D., Richard A. Passwater, Ph.D., Dr. Douglas N. Graham, Arnold Ehret , Michio Kushi and Ron Teeguarden.  His areas of knowledge now include: nutrition, regenerative herbs, raw foods for detox in creating cellular energy and mental clarity, mind/body fitness and Photobiomodulation (PBM) light therapy.

Personal Journey

On a personal level, Jon had been suffering from migraines for twenty years, and wanted a remedy. Finally, through a friend (who wasn’t aware of his migraines) and had been newly certified in LENS,  Jon began getting twice a month treatments. After several sessions his migraines seemed to disappear. “I couldn’t believe what had happened. This is what was missing from my search. I thought of the impact it would have on other peoples lives and how well it fit into my philosophy of proactive healing. I decided to research, study, and learn all I could about how this unique type of neurofeedback therapy could improve brain health and care.”

Jon was certified as a LENS neurofeedback specialist directly from Len Ochs, Ph.D. and his staff in 2012. In 2018, he received another certification in LENS neurotherapy and expanded his practice to include interactive PBM light therapy for tissue repair.

“ I find the majority of my new clients don’t like taking medication and have just heard of LENS Therapy. Others have literally tried everything out there with no success. They are simply tired of not feeling themselves, yet still dependent on their medications that are producing unwanted side effects.”

We provide a uniquely private and relaxed environment, flexible hours, and personalized attention creating true comfort for each client. Jon offers to see many of his patients at his home instead of the medical office. He has found this difference creates a much more relaxed and private setting for the treatments to be successful. His patients love this option and feel it makes a notable difference in the lack of distractions and the amount of attention it creates.
